our inspirations:
Most of the soundtrack was composed by: Me (Jin Nakamura), RxtroFSXV, Idle-Prod, and Hideki Nakamura. We used a mixture of actual instruments such as: Electric Guitars, A Midi Pad Controller, A drum set, and a flute in combination with digital instruments like: Fl studio Pads, and syncopated variants of our actual instruments, as well as repeated loops (for flow and familiarity). Some songs were just (Using Suno Ai) Artificially Remixed variants of our other songs (because we were puckered out from the other songs we made so we just kinda gave up.) Overall, it took an astounding 3 ½ months for this entire soundtrack.
Additional Info about the soundtrack:
(Info message FROM ONE OF THE lead artists)
I would personally say the majority of the soundtrack is inspired by the “LIKE A DRAGON" series, most importantly: Yakuza 0 and Yakuza 5. This similarity is best seen in the Club Royale Story-line (First appearing in the Demo/Chapter 1.5). All of them especially the Platinum, Diamond, and Mythical tiers are heavily Yakuza inspired. The music of the tiers is based off of the characters Henry faces and how they themselves fight (some fight similar due to budget issues). Though I must say that all songs uploaded to Spotify are not the entirety of the soundtrack. There are only 39 songs in the officially uploaded soundtrack, when in actuality there are closer to 70 - 76 songs. The reason for this is because of the complications we had with the continuity of Blackwood. The timeline RxtroFSXV has is:
Blackwood: Chapter 0 (Book)
Blackwood: Chapter 1 (Game)
Blackwood: Chapter 1.5 (Demo)
(So on and so forth)
However, he decided to release the actual soundtrack for the Demo before Chapter 1 and it was labeled as the “Official Original Soundtrack “for the whole game, INSTEAD OF JUST ADDING THE WORD: “DEMO “IN THERE. Meaning that the extra 34 songs are for the full actual game, aka Chapter 1 & 2.
I just had to access the site and decided to edit the music section in case anyone got confused.
